The God of Loyalty
In the heart of the Chinese people, General Guan is always a god of loyalty. He is enshrined in homes, shops, street corners as well as temples. The good guys worship him. The bad guys worship him too, even more. I guess it is the same with any culture that people long for protection from the Saints they adore in any act of life, good or evil.
